I know I said I would not do these things

Last time I wrote (and published) I said I wasn't getting and tattoos for a while. I meant it at the time but then Sam Ricketts posted on Facebook that he had spaces. He is such an awesome artist I couldn't resist so I got a little more work on my sleeve.

I got a key with a geometric flower. There is really no significance to this. I told Sam I wanted a key and this is what he drew. I bloody love it. Although I have discovered that the inner arm is not a fun place to get tattooed and my arm is probably twice the size it was before. I swell a lot.

Running out of space on this arm now which is awesome. Who would have thought little old me would get a sleeve. Not me, not until I started learning about real tattoo art. I started reading magazines such as Skin Deep and Total Tattoo a few years back. They changed my outlook on tattoos and art as a whole. Before I was one of them people who thought tattoos were picked off a wall and were generally black and spikey. I am informed on the subject. I don't know all there is to know but I know where to go for answers and it genuinely pleases me that people ask me for advice.

I've done something else. Something significant for me. I met a beautiful blue eyed boy. I met him through tattoos and a shared interest of calling people benders to their face. This is all you need to know.

My depression is getting the better of me again but I am not giving in. I have been back to work and seen the super people that I missed whilst I was away. Q10 and lili are two people that I need in my life, now more than ever. Q10 bought me Cognitive Behavioural Therapy for Dummies. I have been reading it when my brain is not being all fluffy and unresponsive. Its making be realise that I need to give myself credit for coping. Maybe we should all give ourself more credit for the small things we achieve in life rather than ignoring them.

My beautiful little friend asked me to explain how I feel. There is no easy way to explain it. I don't feel like me. I can think of only 4 occasions since the start of December when I have felt like the me I was before. Safe and secure in myself and not banging my head against a wall trying to force myself to be better. Its hard for others to understand that I am suffering, for want of a better word, as depression has not changed my personality (I don't think) and I don't like to sit down and tell people face to face that I just feel bloody unpleasant.

So in conclusion. Go get tattooed at Wood Street Tattoos in Swindon. Tell them I sent you cos they are great.
And I am no good at being in like cos my insecurities get the better of me.

A selection of tweets all mashed up

I need to get the arrested development out of my system (not the band or the series both were awesome).

So, guess what I did. Why I got a tattoo of course. Like normal I think its beautiful and you may have an opinion. Just remember 'it's not up to you'.

It's my last one for a while. I am braving going back to work after ever and the drive is always torture when all stingy.

My time off has helped me not only to reevaluate all the things in my brain but also to sleep all kinds of odd hours. Which has been a delight. But the real world beckons and I can't avoid it forever. I can however make it more bearable. I know exactly how I am going to do this and all will be revealed soon and I am gonna need willing participants.

I have abused the shit out of twitter during my time off. I have just had a quick look back and some of the thing said are ridiculous.
- I have thought of the correct pressure for a high five to be fulfilling but not stingy. It needs more research
- I have thought of sappy things such as you and hugs and hugs with you.
- I have thought of dizzy the egg and all the yolk folk
- I have though of getting a miniature pinscher and calling it Zeus or Odin. Or cutey-little-puppy-wuppy.
- I want a velociraptor I would put a saddle on it and ride around town listening to Jurassic 5 on a retro ghetto blaster.

Some of the things I have said are genius such as
- According to tv we are ok with Chris brown now. I am gonna go kick the crap out of someone and see how my career does.
Which in turn caused me to tag everything #fuckoffchrisbrown

Other gems include
- BVB are such utter tools. They should be in a death match pitted against one direction.
- Went out with no make up. Bump into my sister who says not 'hello' but 'what's wrong with your face'.
Take that self esteem.

Well as this is just complete and utter self promotion I shall be off.

Strange pangs

I have these strange pangs of guilt that keep me awake at night. Nothing horrendous. I haven't killed anyone. But about being a single mum.

See I am a rare breed. I am a single mum. But, I work full time. I don't know of many of me. I am sure they are out there some where. But I don't know them.

Add to this my place of work is 40 miles away from my house. It makes for some "late" nights. Now I don't mean that I am getting home at midnight. I just mean I am losing valuable kid time to the motorway.
And this bothers me.

The other pang is the petrol bill that comes with this. £70 a week. Not massive compared to them highly paid executive, Audi driving, business bitches out there. I am not one of these bitches

But alas this money takes away from my 2 favourite things- the kid and getting tattoos.

These pangs are little devils. They wake me at 3am and cause me headaches like you won't believe. But I hope the kid grows to understand that maybe I am not around as much as other mums but I go out to work so we can pay our own way. We are skint all the time. But Spring is coming and that means tree climbing and running round fields. Free fun is probably the best fun.
